David J. Flanders, M.D.  

Dr. Flanders received a B.A. in zoology from the University of Iowa and an M.D. from the University of Iowa College of Medicine in Iowa City in 1979. His residency in anatomic and clinical pathology was at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (1979-1983). He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He had a fellowship in surgical pathology at the University of Iowa College of Medicine (1983-1984), and practiced pathology in Springfield, Illinois for 2 years. Dr. Flanders joined PTPG in 1986. He serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and is a past Medical Staff President of Proctor Hospital. Currently he is Treasurer of PTPG and pathologist at Pekin Hospital. Dr. Flanders has a special interest in surgical pathology and dermatopathology.
