Dr. McGrady received a B.S. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1972 and an M.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois in 1976. His residency in anatomic and clinical pathology was at the University of Iowa. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. Dr. McGrady completed a fellowship in clinical microbiology at Indiana University School of Medicine and practiced general pathology in Belleville, Illinois for seven years. He joined PTPG in 1989.

His special interests are clinical microbiology, transfusion medicine and surgical pathology. Dr. McGrady is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pathology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.
