Dr. Liu received her M.D. at Shandong Medical University, China (1994) and Ph.D. in molecular genetics and microbiology at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (2001). She then completed two research fellowships at Princeton University (2003) and UT Southwestern Medical Center (2005). Dr. Liu received her residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center (2005-2009) and served as chief resident in her final year. She has been board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology since 2009. Dr. Liu received additional subspecialty training in hematopathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center (2010) before joining PTPG in July, 2010. She also received her board certification in hematopathology in November, 2010.
